Mobile Institute 1999

"Mobile Institute" was a multi-unit installation designed to display archival material, supplementary to an institution’s primary collection. As it moved from place to place, a unit was left behind as a momento mori of the exhibition’s history. As it traveled, material representative of where it had been ie. publications, videos, images were added to the project thereby showing and sharing its travel history. Site #1 was in Lumen Travo Gallery in Amsterdam. There it displayed ZAP magazine, BoekieWoekie, Imshoot, Stroom and Artimo publications. Site #2 The catalogues & video collection of Henry Moore Institute were added to the project.
