Five Surveillance Stations (bench) were sited at 5 locations throughout Den Haag marking the juncture when the old city and new city came together. Each was attached to a back-pack-like structure that supported a distorted reflection of new city development on one side, and an illuminated map on the other which marked the historic dates when Den Haag dramatically changed due to the advent of land rights claims,(1370) religion(1750), wealth(1800), railroad(1850) ,and war (1945)g place.
