Le Jardin des Deux Rives was a new park split in two by a river, on the French side is Strasbourg, the German side, Kiel. In 2004 the two cities joined to commission several artists to make work for the park. Drink/Sleep was a two-part project located on the French side of a new park in Strasbourg. One part was a maze-like arrangement of concrete drinking fountains with multiple spouts, (Drink) the other, was a group of interconnecting lounges for reclining (Sleep). Together they arranged the park go-er in intimate configurations while providing public amenities for public use.
